Ms. Morris is a former assistant professor of Professional Practice at the Paul M. Hebert Law Center of Louisiana State University. Ms. Morris also served as a Judicial Research Attorney for the Honorable Vanessa Whipple, Louisiana First Circuit Court of Appeal. 

Prior to teaching, Ms. Morris litigated with a Baton Rouge law firm,  where she concentrated in the areas of insurance and business law, medical malpractice defense, insurance defense, and workers' compensation defense litigation.  She served as a consultant for the revision of Group Self Insurance Fund laws and regulations.  She also obtained USL&H licenses for several Group SIFs and was lead counsel for several Group SIFs on appeals of Insurance Department compliance audits.           

During law school, she was a Dean Hebert Scholarship recipient, Chancellor's List member, Co-chairman of the Flory Trial Competition, Student Bar Association representative, and received the American Jurisprudence Award for UCC Security Devices. 

Her practice now concentrates in general corporate law, business consulting, insurance consulting, and risk management.

Additionally, she is admitted to practice in all Louisiana state and federal courts.  She is a regular volunteer judge at the Paul M. Hebert Law Center of Louisiana State University.
